At Excell Santa Gertrudis superior Females are our focus and priority. Our females are selected not only for conformation but for docility and longevity. It’s not uncommon for Excell bred females to produce quality show and replacement calves year after year well into their teens. Females in our herd currently trace back to the most well-known show bloodlines in the Santa Gertrudis breed available the last thirty years. Twin Creek 503 is without a doubt one of the most successful and influential females we’ve had the privilege to acquire. Producing hugely successful show females such as 2020 Junior National Calf Champion Female XL Three Rivers 902, and the 2025 Open National Champion Female XL River Hawthorn 380 it’s easy to see why she was named 2020 SGBI High Point Produce of Dam as well as 2020 National Champion Produce of Dam. Without hesitation we made the decision to Clone 503 in late 2020 making her the fourth Santa Gertrudis female in the world to be cloned. Twin Creek 503 continues to produce natural calves still to the day in 2026 at the age of twelve.

RAR Miss Abigail 1637 was acquired from the historic Rocking A Ranch in Brenham, Texas in late 2018. 1637’s Dam, Rocking A’s Annabelle 1105 is without question the most successfully shown Swapfire 633 daughter produced winning Reserve Grand Open Santa Gertrudis female at Houston livestock show and rodeo in 2013 as well as Grand Open Santa Gertrudis Female at the 2014 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Abigail has done it all for the Excell Santa Gertrudis program and without a doubt paved the way for our success the last decade. She's produced Three National and Reserve National Champion progeny and countless other influential cattle for other programs around the United States. These National Champion and Reserve National Champion progeny include 2023 Open National Champion XL Cleopatra 008, 2023 Reserve Junior National Champion bull XL Pendleton 253, and two-time Reserve National Champion female XL Glitter & Gold 370. Over the last few years Abigail has also been recognized through Santa Gertrudis Breeders International for her production and has been awarded 2023 SGBI Show Dam of the year, many times SGBI High Point Produce of Dam, and two-times SGBI Performance Dam of the year.
